Scan to PDF
Scan documents to PDF with your phone camera or photos. Clean black and white, grayscale or colour pages on A4. Free, no app, no upload.
Use the interactive tool to choose your files and create a download. JavaScript is required for local processing. No account needed.
How to scan a document to PDF
- Tap Choose images. On a phone you can take a photo with the camera or pick photos you already took.
- Pick Black and white for clean text with shadows removed, or Grayscale or Colour.
- Put the pages in order and press Create PDF. Each photo becomes one A4 page.
Photograph the page flat, in good light, filling the frame. Black and white compares each spot with its surroundings, so uneven light and shadows turn white while ink stays black, like a scanner. Nothing is uploaded and no app is needed.
Before you get started
How do I scan a document to PDF with my phone?
Open this page on your phone, tap Choose images and take a photo of the document. Add more pages the same way, then press Create PDF and download.
Do I need a scanner app?
No. The browser on your phone opens the camera, and the PDF is made on your phone. Nothing is installed or uploaded.
How do I get a clean white background?
Choose Black and white. It removes grey shading and shadows from phone photos of paper. Fill the frame with the page so the table or floor around it is not included.
Can I make the text searchable?
Yes. Open the PDF in OCR PDF afterwards to add searchable text.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. Selected file contents are processed in your browser. Normal page requests still reach the hosting provider. Use a trusted device and keep your originals.
