How to convert PNG to JPG
Many forms, printers and older apps accept only JPG. Converting a PNG screenshot or graphic to JPG also makes photos much smaller, because JPG is made for photographs.

What happens to a transparent background?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white. Keep the PNG if you need transparency, for example for a logo on a coloured page.
Will the JPG be smaller than the PNG?
For photos, usually much smaller. For simple graphics with few colours, PNG can already be small. To reach an exact size in KB, use Compress image.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Selected file contents are processed in your browser. Normal page requests still reach the hosting provider. Use a trusted device and keep your originals.
