How do I convert JPG to PNG?

Does PNG make my JPG clearer?
No. PNG keeps every pixel exactly from now on, but it cannot bring back detail the JPG already lost. The picture looks the same.
Why is the PNG bigger than the JPG?
PNG is lossless, so photos take more space. That is normal. Use JPG when a small file matters.
Can I make the background transparent?
Not with a format change: a JPG has no transparency to keep, so the PNG has the same background.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Selected file contents are processed in your browser. Normal page requests still reach the hosting provider. Use a trusted device and keep your originals.
