A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How to compress a JPG to 20–50 KB

Many forms reject photos that are too small as well as too large. This page keeps the result between 20 KB and 50 KB. If a small photo is under 20 KB, quality is raised first, then empty file padding is added; the picture itself does not change.

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image up to 300 MB. The 20–50 KB limit is already selected.
  2. Keep the size, or enter the pixels or centimetres your form asks for.
  3. For a signature or document, tick Black and white for sharper lines.
  4. Press Compress image, check that it says “Under 20–50 KB” and the preview looks clear, then download.

WaterPDF finds the highest JPG quality that fits. If you keep the original size and that is not enough, the picture is made smaller in pixels. Your original image is never changed.

What fits in 20–50 KB?

A rough guide. Results depend on how detailed the picture is.

Questions about 20–50 KB limits

How do I make a photo between 20 KB and 50 KB?

Choose your photo above. The 20–50 KB range is already selected. Set the size your form asks for, or keep the original size, and press Compress image. The result says “Between 20–50 KB” when it fits.

My photo is only 12 KB. Can I increase it to 20 KB?

Yes. WaterPDF first saves it at a higher quality. If it is still too small, it adds empty padding inside the JPG to reach 20 KB. The picture looks the same.

Which KB does the form mean?

WaterPDF keeps the file at least 20 × 1,024 bytes and at most 50 × 1,000 bytes, so it fits either reading of the range.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Selected file contents are processed in your browser. Normal page requests still reach the hosting provider. Use a trusted device and keep your originals.
