PDF to Excel
Extract selectable PDF text into XLSX worksheets on your device. Infer columns or keep one text column. Table alignment needs review; no OCR for scans.
Use the interactive tool to choose your files and create a download. JavaScript is required for local processing. No account needed.
How to pdf to excel
- Choose a PDF containing selectable text, up to 50 pages.
- Use inferred columns for simple tables, or one column of text for a less structured document.
- Download a real XLSX with one worksheet per PDF page, then review cells in Excel or LibreOffice.
Columns are inferred from text positions. Complex tables, merged cells and reading order can differ. Values are exported as text; formulas, formatting, images and charts are not reconstructed. Scanned words require OCR, which is not included.
Before you get started
Does this recognize a table in a scan?
No. A scanned page must already have a usable text layer. OCR is not included. A PDF without selectable text produces an error instead of an empty success.
Are PDF values executed as formulas?
No. Exported values are literal text, including strings beginning with equals signs. No PDF text becomes a spreadsheet formula or external link.
Will numbers and leading zeros change?
The exporter stores extracted values as text so leading zeros and European number punctuation stay visible. Review and convert cell types in Excel when you need calculations.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. Selected file contents are processed in your browser. Normal page requests still reach the hosting provider. Use a trusted device and keep your originals.
