How to compress a JPG to 10 KB
10 KB is one of the strictest limits. It suits signatures and small photos at form sizes. A full-size photo has to become much smaller to fit.
Resizing a photo to 10 KB, reducing image size to 10 KB and a photo KB reducer all mean the same: a JPG file of 10 KB or less.
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image up to 300 MB. The 10 KB limit is already selected.
- Keep the size, or enter the pixels or centimetres your form asks for.
- For a signature or document, tick Black and white for sharper lines.
- Press Compress image, check that it says “Under 10 KB” and the preview looks clear, then download.
WaterPDF finds the highest JPG quality that fits. If you keep the original size and that is not enough, the picture is made smaller in pixels. Your original image is never changed.
What fits in 10 KB?
| Picture | Under 10 KB |
|---|---|
| Signature at form size | Fits, sharp in black and white |
| Small photo, around 200 × 230 px | Fits with visible softening |
| Full phone photo | Fits only at a very small pixel size |
Questions about 10 KB limits
How do I compress an image to 10 KB?
Choose your image above. The 10 KB limit is already selected. For a form, choose Pixels or Centimetres and enter its size first; a small picture keeps more detail at 10 KB. Then press Compress image.
Why is my 10 KB photo blurry?
There are very few bytes for a photo. Use the exact form size instead of the original size, and tick Black and white for signatures and documents.
The form needs between 10 and 20 KB.
Use the 10–20 KB range button instead, so the result is not too small either.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Selected file contents are processed in your browser. Normal page requests still reach the hosting provider. Use a trusted device and keep your originals.
