Fill PDF forms
Fill existing PDF form fields on your device. Enter text, tick checkboxes and choose options, then save an editable or flattened PDF without uploading it.
Use the interactive tool to choose your files and create a download. JavaScript is required for local processing. No account needed.
How to fill pdf forms
- Choose a PDF containing existing interactive form fields, up to 100 MB and 200 fields.
- Fill the supported text fields, checkboxes and choices. Read-only fields and signature fields cannot be changed here.
- Save the filled PDF. Keep fields editable, or choose flattening when you want supported fields turned into page content. Reopen and review the download.
Fills supported AcroForm fields already present in the PDF. It does not create new form fields or recognize blank lines in a scan. XFA forms and certificate-based signing are unsupported. Text uses the supported local fonts; complex scripts and emoji may not be supported. Flattening removes field interactivity and is unavailable for forms containing signature or unsupported fields. Rewriting can invalidate an existing certificate signature. Keep the original and check field values and page appearance.
Before you get started
Why are no fields shown in my application form?
The PDF may be a scan or a flat page without interactive AcroForm fields. Use Add text to place labels on a flat PDF. OCR recognizes words but does not create interactive form fields.
Which field types can I fill?
Supported text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns, radio groups and multiple-choice lists. Dropdowns that combine custom text entry with multiple selection are kept unchanged. Read-only, signature and unsupported fields are shown with a limitation rather than edited. XFA forms need an application that supports that format.
Should I keep the form editable or flatten it?
Keep it editable when the recipient needs to update supported fields. Flattening turns supported filled fields into page content and removes their interactivity. Reopen the downloaded copy to check the appearance before sharing.
Can I add a verified digital signature?
No. Certificate-based signing is not included. Sign PDF can add a drawn or typed signature image, which is a visual mark rather than identity verification or a qualified digital signature.
Can I fill a password-protected form?
Use Unlock PDF with the correct opening password first, then choose the unlocked copy. Finish filling and reviewing the form before adding a new opening password with Protect PDF.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. Selected file contents are processed in your browser. Normal page requests still reach the hosting provider. Use a trusted device and keep your originals.
